Dutch Government call for ideas for satellite data use in water management

Rijkswaterstaat, STOWA, the Dutch water authorities and the Netherlands Space Office (NSO) are looking for ideas to use satellite data in water management. Solutions are needed for smarter ways to monitor and detect changes. First step is to cast a wide net for ideas, the best of which will be selected for a feasibility study. The outcome of the feasibility study determines which solutions continue to phase 2, developing a prototype.

This call is part of the government’s innovation procurement programme, aimed at challenging companies to develop new solutions and providing better access to government procurement for small companies. The current phase is pre-commercial procurement as part of the “Small Business Innovation and Research” (SBIR) programme.

Submission for phase 1 opened 9 July and closes 27 August 2020. NSO is organising a webinar on 23 July 14:00-15:30 (deadline for registration Monday 20 July!). For more information see the RVO website (all information in Dutch only).
