dotSpace hosts webinar on Earth Observation for investigative journalism
As part of the General Assembly of the Copernicus Networks dotSpace Foundation organises a networking table around the topic of Earth Observation for investigative journalism. Objective of this networking event is to introduce investigative and research journalism as an application area for space data.
Speakers at the event include space data specialists from the dotSpace Foundation, a GEO-journalism lecturer from Universiteit Twente and an investigative journalist at a leading news agency. These specialists will argue that both space data providers and journalists alike are not aware of the opportunities of space data for news gathering, news support and fact checking, and that an awareness campaign will create opportunities for developing new space data platforms and use cases.
Any representative of Copernicus Relays and Copernicus Academy are invited to join this networking table webinar, which is part of the General Assembly of the Copernicus Network. You can register for this event at the GA event registration page here.
The networking table events are part of the general assembly meeting, and are organised by several Copernicus Network members. See all topics here:
After the event some of the key findings, as well as the presentations will be made available for download on the groundstation.space website.
